This incredibly beautiful original lithograph was created by famous British artist Graham Sutherland, was created to promote the town of Menton in the South of France. The artist would spend much of his time on the Riviera in his lifetime, especially after "the publicity" created by his infamous portrait of Winston Churchill, which by many accounts was a masterpiece, but later destroyed by the politician's family. By the 1960s printmaking, and especially lithography, returned to Sutherland’s focus in full force. During these last few decades of his life he produced almost three times as many prints as he had in the first half of his career, experimenting with ever more vivid uses of colour and form.
